Words you may want to know:

Shire - a local group - common in our kingdom. There are shires in Natchitoches, Shreveport, Jackson, Lafayette, etc. Our shire is the Shire of Loch Bais.

Barony - a bigger local group. The baronies in this kingdom are found in New Orleans, Memphis, Little Rock, and Gulport/Biloxi.

Kingdom - a collection of local groups. Much as the way cities make up states, shires and baronies make up kingdoms. Our kingdom is the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann. It covers the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and the city of Memphis.

Business Meeting - where the nuts and bolts of running the local level of the SCA happens. Decisions are made, plans are set, that sort of thing. Should happen once a month.
